Propel and Think Hospitality are launching the Experiential Leisure Conference, designed to bring together the community of operators, landlords and investors in the emerging immersive experiences sector in the UK.
12.00pm – 1.00pm: Registration and refreshments
1.00pm – 1.30pm: James Hacon, of Think Hospitality, provides an overview of innovation and trends across the globe in creating immersive experiences
1.30pm – 2.00pm: Virgin Experience Days outlines its overview of the immersive experience sector, sharing the key trends and potential growth areas.
2.00pm – 2.30pm: Matt Grech-Smith, co-founder of Swingers, talks about the company’s progress opening two crazy golf venues in London, its food and beverage model and plans to open in New York.
2.30pm – 3.00pm: Frankie Edwards, head of the Jamie Oliver Cook School, shares how they have maximised sales from a large site through the addition of a hands-on cooking experience, effectively representing one of the UK’s most successful celebrity chefs.
3.00pm – 3:30pm: Break
3.30pm – 4.00pm: Jozef Youssef, founder and chef at Kitchen Theory, discusses the principales of experience design in gastronomy based on joint research into the field with the University of Oxford.
4.00pm – 4.30pm: Josh Ford, co-founder of Time Run and creative director of The Game is Now, talks about the escape room phenomenon, there story and how they have developed the first official Sherlock escape game with the makers of the hit TV series.
4.30pm – 5.00pm: Toby Harris, chief executive of Social Entertainment Venues, introduces its concepts, shares how it differentiates from key competitors and where it sees the growth opportunities for its brands.
